Park Jefferson To Remain Unsanctioned
We are excited to let our drivers know that we will remain unsanctioned for 2015. We feel this will allow drivers from all over the area to participate in races at Park Jefferson this year. Our rules package will closely follow Raceway Park's rules and any driver who is within the rules to race at Raceway Park will be legal to race at Park Jefferson. In addition, we will have our Bomber rules, formerly Thunder Cars, ready prior to the end of the month.
As stated earlier this week, we inquired about IMCA sanctioning for this year but our request was denied as IMCA has indicated that Park Jefferson Speedway does not fit their profile of an acceptable track and won't in the foreseeable future.
After having serious discussions with NASCAR, we decided to remain unsanctioned to allow drivers from any body or track to race at Park Jefferson, provided they follow our rules package. We will have our final rules posted by the end of January.
