Sign Masters presents “Night of $1,000’s Shootout” for Late Models and Modifieds

Park Jefferson along with the great support of Sign Masters will be presenting this weekend’s show dubbed “Night of $1,000’s Shootout”. The first $1,000 will be awarded to the Sign Masters IMCA drivers. With a draw/redraw format in play, this will give all of the local drivers one of the last opportunities to qualify for the ballot of the IMCA Fast Shafts All Star Invitational. The winner will add his name to the ballot to be voted into the Fast Shafts All Star Invitational held at the Super Nationals held at the Boone Speedway in Boone, Iowa. The purse for this inaugural Fast Shafts qualifier will be just of $5,000 with $1,000 for the winner, $700 for 2nd, and $120 just to start the A – Main. The format of draw/redraw will allow for an even playing field for all the entrants.

The second $1,000 will be on the line for the Midwest Late Model. The Midwest Late Models sponsored by Badlands Speedway are a newly formed group that was formed to answer the call for super late model racing in South Dakota. The Midwest Late Models rules package allows for drivers in crate late models, WISSOTA late models, and NASCAR Grand Nationals and Late Models to compete on an equal playing field. The total purse for the Late Models will be just over $6,500 with $1,000 for 1st, $800 for 2nd and $200 to start the A-Main. Drivers are expected from around the Midwest as the Midwest Late Models held their inaugural event this past Sunday and drew drivers from South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota.

“We are really excited to put together such an exciting event for the fans. We wanted to have a Fast Shafts qualifier and with this being the final weekend to get on the 2016 ballot, we are really hopeful to add one of our local drivers to this prestigious list. Then to add in Dale Furby’s Midwest Late Models, after the cancellation of the World of Outlaws, gave us 2 great shows for the fans for only $10” stated President Adam Adamson.

Gates will open at 5pm on Saturday with hot laps a little later at 6:45 and racing scheduled at 7:30. Tickets for the special event will be only $10 for adults, $1 for seniors and children 6-16. Pit passes for the night will be $30. The clubhouse will be open for $15 with limited tickets available.
Rules for the late models can be found at www.parkjeff.com under the rules tab. Park Jefferson Speedway does utilize Westhold Timing and Scoring systems. Drivers who do not have one will be able to rent from the track for $10. Driver draw fee of $10. For further information contact the track at 712-202-5540.
