Salute to Jimmy Cole Night to open Park Jeff Season
Park Jefferson Speedway will host its season IMCA Racing opener Saturday, April 8th. Five IMCA divisions will be on hand as featuring the SignMasters Modifieds, J&J Fitting Stock Cars, Sport Modifieds, Hobby Stocks and Fox 620 Sport Compacts. The night will feature a special guest as Park Jefferson will be hosting "Salute to Jimmy Cole" night. Cole, who is battling cancer, has long been a supporter of the track and is responsible for fixing all of the drainage systems prior to the 2016 racing season as well as the construction of the cat walk. As a salute to Cole, the top 3 spots of the Modified feature will have their payouts end in Cole's familiar number 55. Modified winner will be racing for $555, Stock Car, Sport Mod, and Hobby Stock drivers will all be racing for $355 to win and the Sport Compact feature will pay $155 to the winner. In addition, Park Jefferson will be donating $1 from every ticket purchased tht night to the Cole family for medical expenses.
Gates will open at 5pm with racing scheduled for 7pm. Adult tickets are $12, Children 6-16 $2 and Seniors 70+ are $5. Pit passes are $30 For more information or to purchase tickets, go to www.parkjeff.com
